the moment I decided to write a book on Costa Rican wildlife

While kayaking through a stream in Cahuita, Costa Rica, I looked up and for a frozen moment in time I had a one-on-one encounter with this Three-toed Sloth. He was looking directly at me as I took this photo. It was like being in heaven! I knew from that moment on that I wanted to photograph as much wildlife in Costa Rica as possible and perhaps write a book about it.
